Our History
Box Springs Mutual Water Company was formed in 1920.
We serve approximately 750 customers in a roughly 440-acre area of Moreno Valley which is bounded by Eucalyptus Ave to the north, Day Street on the east, Alessandro Boulevard to the south, and Old Highway 215 Frontage Road to the west.
Water is provided through one local ground water well and through a connection to Western Municipal Water District which provides 40 to 50 percent of our normal day water demands.

Payment Plans (Available to all customers):
- Payments are due on the 1st of every month
- 3-or 12-month plans with initial payment options available
- You are still responsible for monthly charges due on the 15 of every month
- An up-to-date phone number and email address is required for all accounts under payment plan

Example 12-month payment plan:

- January past due balance = $600.00
- Initial payment is $100.00 = remaining balance $500.00
- $500.00 / 12-month payment plan: $42.00 due February 1
- January current charges $76.00 due February 15
Example 3-month payment plan:

- January past due balance = $600.00
- Initial payment is $100.00 = remaining balance $500.00
- $500.00 / 3-months = $167.00 due February 1
- January current charges $76.00 due February 15
Water Shutoff / Disconnection:
- Applies to accounts 60 days delinquent
- Disconnection fee – $50.00
- 7-day notice is given prior to disconnection
Reconnections:
- No Reconnection on Saturday or Sunday
- Reconnections will be done during normal business hours:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm - Payment in full is required

- Only cash, money order, or credit card will be accepted

It’s that time of year! All backflow devices must be tested, pass, and forms submitted to BSMWC no later than Friday, December 12, 2025, to avoid disconnection.
